Munnar is a renowned hill station in Kerala, South India, located in the Idukki district at 1,600 meters above sea level in the Western Ghats. Imprints of the colonial past stand tall in the Munnar town in the form of English country cottages. Virgin forests, savannah, rolling hills, scenic valleys, numerous streams, huge splashy waterfalls, sprawling tea plantations and winding walkways are all part of the great holiday experience on offer for a traveler to Munnar. Munnar is also known for Neelakurinji, a rare plant which flowers only once in twelve years. The ‘kurinji season’ in Munnar is a magnificent sight when the hills and valleys get bathed in the blue of the Neelakurinji blooms.

Itinerary Details

Arrive Cochin Airport / Ernakulam railway station - drive to Munnar (04 Hrs drive). On the , which is called as “Nature Lover’s Paradise” and is at 1800mts above the sea level. On the way to Munnar visit Cheyappara waterfalls and Valara Waterfalls. Visit the plush tea gardens, experience this vast plantation area around the slopes of the hills. Morning after breakfast starting for sightseeing with Eravikulam National park visit followed by Tea Museum. Post lunch, we visit the Mattuppetty dam, Echo point, Kundala Lake, Photo point, 2nd mile view point and Botanical Garden. Note: The Eravikulam National Park tickets can be booked in advance or at the counter. The park is closed from Feb to April due to the breeding time of goats. Tea Museum is closed on Monday. After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed to Cochin Airport / Railway station for Departure.
